"You can't give up."— Dave
Today, his wife needs oxygen and critical care. His granddaughter was born with hydrocephalus and needs ongoing medical support. Dave is still the one trying to hold everything together.
Organizer Johnny James describes meeting a man whose greatest wish is to leave his loved ones with something to fall back on. Even after everything he has been through, Dave's thoughts are with his family.
This campaign invites the community to help ease that burden and give Dave's family greater security for the road ahead.
Kind words. Lasting comfort.
Dave, the strength you have shown for your family is extraordinary. I hope this community can give you a little room to breathe and remind you that you deserve support, too.
No one should have to carry every burden on their own. Sharing your story so more people can show up for you, your wife, and your granddaughter. Wishing your family some easier days ahead.
Your words, "You can't give up," really stayed with me. I hope all these small acts of kindness come together to bring your family comfort, practical help, and a little peace of mind.
Thank you for your service, Dave, and for the love you keep giving your family. May this be a reminder that a whole community can stand beside you when the road gets difficult.
You have spent so much of your life taking care of the people you love. I hope this support helps lighten the load and gives you more time to simply be together as a family.
A little help from each of us can add up to something meaningful. Sending strength to Dave and his loved ones, and hoping this is the beginning of a gentler chapter for all of you.
